Bank Shots: Spring 2023

Peapack-Gladstone Bank announced the winner of its “Neighme” that horse contest. Held at the Bank’s Boonton branch charity Christmas tree sale, visitors submitted names for the two horse statues that adorn the property. Eleven-year-old Mikayla Gadaleta, who banked on “Noble” and “Liberty” won. She is a horse enthusiast and rider, so this contest was right up her alley! This year’s event helped raise over $30,000 to benefit youth mental health programs at the Lakeland Hills Family YMCA.


Unity Bank A new, full service branch has been opened in Fort Lee, increasing the bank’s service footprint to 20 branches and enhancing its retail presence in Bergen County. Unity is bringing a local flavor to the 1,890-square-foot branch. The facility features the abstract landscape oil paintings of Bergen County artist Sol Zaretsky of Teaneck. Unity purchased several of Zaretsky’s paintings through its program to support local artists in communities where it has branches.


BCB Bank teamed up with NJBankers and the Community FoodBank of New Jersey to help reach the goal of donating 1 million meals to fight food insecurity in New Jersey.

Magyar Bank volunteers supported Elijah’s Promise, a New Brunswick neighbor, for the Bank’s Volunteer Day. The group made 300 sandwiches and bagged cookies for distribution to visitors to the soup kitchen.

Lusitania Savings Bank committed to expanding community partnerships, Lusitania reached out to the Family Service League to support and strengthen those in need. Employees and friends participated in the “NJCASA’s Movement for a Safer NJ” walk in Bradley Beach.
